City of Glass is a poster adaption of the homonymous novel and first volume of the New York Trilogy by Paul Auster.
Every chapter of the book is visually translated into one poster.
These can be pinned up single or as the whole series to give the story the chance to get to life, similar to a screenplay.
The text layout resembles a maze corresponding with the wanderings of the protagonist, a detective-fiction writer who becomes private investigator.
He eventually descends into madness as he becomes embroiled in the case. Like the story, the design explores layers of identity and reality.
